  • Photo transfer instead? The same Use USB for list has Photo transfer, below File transfer.

  • Rather go wireless? Ours offered O+ Connect when plugged in: Use "O+ Connect" to wirelessly connect to your PC. OPPO says a Mac needs macOS 10.14 or later and the O+ Connect app. Source: Reno16 Pro 5G

  • Photos lost among system files? Image Capture lists every file the phone shares. Sort by Date and select only the IMG photos before clicking Download.
  • Other phones listed too? Pick yours by model number; ours listed two other phones as well. Source: Image Capture User Guide for Mac

About this guide

Macs have no built-in Android file app, but Image Capture read our OPPO once USB was set to File transfer. We took three test photos on our Reno13, plugged it into our Mac, and deleted the photos afterwards.

The screenshots are from our OPPO Reno13 5G, the European model CPH2689, with ColorOS 16.0.5 and Android 16 (build CPH2689_16.0.5.1001(EX01)), in Dark mode. The Mac pictures are from our Mac in Dark appearance. Nothing was downloaded, and we set USB back to Charging only afterwards.

Good to know

To send files to an iPhone instead, see share files with an iPhone.

To free space after copying, see check storage and clean up.

In short: Phone: USB notification, File transfer. Mac: Image Capture, the phone, Download All.
