If you do not see this option

  • Help page says Privacy and Security? Telegram's FAQ still gives the path as Settings > Privacy and Security > Phone Number. On our Telegram 13.1.1 the Settings row reads Privacy & Security and the page it opens is titled Privacy and Security: the same page. Source: Who can see my phone number?

  • No Who can find me by my number section? It is hidden while the choice is Everybody or My Contacts; ours only showed it once Nobody was picked.

If this does not work

  • Someone still sees your number? Telegram says people who already have your number saved in their contacts will also see it on Telegram, whatever you pick. Our page says the same under the choices. Source: Who can see my phone number?
  • Strangers still message you? With Who can find me by my number on Everybody, anyone who types your number can still reach you. Switch it to My Contacts. Source: Who can see my phone number?
