About this guide

Samsung phones have their own screen recorder, no app needed. On our Galaxy A57 its button was not in the quick panel at first, so the first steps add it.

The screenshots are from a Samsung Galaxy A57 5G with One UI 8.5 and Android 16. Other Galaxy phones on One UI 8 use the same menus; on older One UI versions a few names and positions differ. We only looked at these screens on our phone and changed nothing.

Good to know

Some apps, such as streaming and banking apps, block recording; the video then shows a black screen.

In short: Quick panel, Screen recorder (add it with the pencil if missing), choose the sound, Start recording.
