Eye comfort shield is Samsung's blue-light filter. It warms the screen colours, especially at night.
The screenshots are from a Samsung Galaxy A57 5G with One UI 8.5 and Android 16. Other Galaxy phones on One UI 8 use the same menus; on older One UI versions a few names and positions differ.
Step by step

Open Eye comfort shield
Open Settings, Display and tap the words Eye comfort shield (tapping the switch only turns it on or off).

Switch it on
Tap the switch at the top so it reads On.

Choose Adaptive or Custom
Adaptive adjusts the screen's colours based on the time of day: small changes in the day, much warmer at night. Custom lets you choose the colour temperature and a schedule.
Use the quick panel
Swipe down from the top of the screen with two fingers and tap the Eye comfort shield button to turn it on or off quickly.
Good to know
