Search for it or tap it on the map. We used a bakery near Charité in Berlin; we suggested nothing about it.

    Tap Suggest an edit

It is below the address, website and phone number on the Overview tab.

  3. Android screenshot: Tap Place is closed or not here

Tap Place is closed or not here

The other rows fix the name, category, address, hours, phone or website.

  4. Android screenshot: Pick the reason and submit

    Pick the reason and submit

Temporarily closed, Permanently closed, Doesn't exist here, Duplicate of another place, Not open to the public, Moved to a new location and more. A photo of a closure notice helps. We tapped Cancel.

About this guide

Maps sends you to a shop that closed months ago, or to the wrong door. Anyone can suggest a fix; Google reviews it before it changes.

The screenshots are from Google Maps 26.31.02 on a Samsung Galaxy A57 5G with Android 16 and One UI 8.5, in dark mode. Maps looks the same on other Android phones; only the phone's own Settings screens differ by brand.

Good to know

Google reviews suggested edits before they show on the map.

In short: Place, Suggest an edit, Place is closed or not here, reason, Submit.
