Articles on health, pets, mental wellbeing, the home, fabrics, relationships and other specialist topics are checked by a named reviewer before they go live. Each reviewer checks only the topics on their card below.
How it works: the reviewer gets a private link to the exact version of the article we plan to publish. They read it and tap Approve and publish, or Request changes with a note on what to fix. If we change the text, sources or pictures afterwards, the approval no longer counts and the new version needs a fresh one. An approved article goes live within about an hour and shows a line under the byline: “✓ Reviewed by Name, credential · date”.
Each card lists the articles that reviewer has approved in the version you can read today, and the list updates by itself as new approvals come in. How we write and check our pages is described in How the guides are made; who runs the site is on our About page.
