Step by step

1. 

   Open Sound & haptics

   Open Settings and scroll down. It is just below Display & brightness.

   Done

2. 

   Tap Phone ringtone

   Under Ringtone. Each SIM shows its own tone.

   Done

3. 

   Pick SIM 1 or SIM 2

   The tabs at the top set which SIM the ringtone is for.

   Done

4. 

   Tap Apply next to a tone

   Each tone shows its length and an Apply button. The lists include HONOR, Nature and Futuristic tones.

   Done

If you do not see this option

• Which tone is in use? It says Applied instead of Apply. Ours was Go Beyond Traditional (Default).

  

• Want your own song? Tap Music on device at the top of the Phone ringtone page.

  

• Ringtone for one person? Our Magic7 Lite uses Google's Phone app, whose Settings list has Contact ringtones.

  

If this does not work

• Phone doesn't ring? Check Sound mode at the top of Sound & haptics: ours was on Silent. HONOR also says to check Do not disturb, the ringtone volume and that the ringtone isn't set to None. Source: There is no ringtone for incoming calls on my phone/tablet
• No ring for one contact? HONOR says that contact's ringtone may be set to None; check it on the contact details screen. Source: There is no ringtone for incoming calls on my phone/tablet
• No ring while gaming? HONOR says Uninterrupted gaming in AppAssistant mutes calls during games; turn it off from the AppAssistant floating icon, All features. Source: There is no ringtone for incoming calls on my phone/tablet

About this guide

The screenshots are from our HONOR Magic7 Lite, the European model BRP-NX1M, with MagicOS 10.0 and Android 16 (build 10.0.0.169(C430E7R2P1)), in Dark mode. Ours had Go Beyond Traditional (Default) on SIM 1 and Go Beyond Marimba on SIM 2. We did not change it.
