How to change playback speed in YouTube on Android

Tap the video, the gear and Playback speed. Tap 0.25, 1.0, 1.25, 1.5 or 2.0, or use the minus and plus buttons and the slider for steps in between.

Step by step
Open the player settings
Tap the video once so the controls appear, then tap the gear at the top.

Tap Playback speed
Playback speed shows 1x by default.

Pick a speed
The current speed is shown above the slider. The buttons below jump to common speeds; 1.0 is Normal.
