Battery health on Android phones: what each brand shows

Where seven Android brands put battery health, and whether our own phones showed maximum capacity and cycle count, read from our screenshots.

We opened the battery pages on seven Android phones from seven brands and wrote down what each one actually showed. Every value in the table comes from our own screenshots, taken when we checked the guides in October 2026. Where a phone did not show something on the pages we looked at, the table says "not shown in our test" rather than guessing.

What the table tells you

All seven phones showed a capacity figure as a percentage of the battery when it was new, but they call it different things: Battery health on Samsung and Xiaomi, Battery capacity on Pixel and Maximum capacity on OnePlus, OPPO, HONOR and Nothing.

Five of the seven showed a cycle count. On the Pixel it is not on the Battery health page but under About phone, Battery information. On our OnePlus and OPPO phones the Battery health page showed Maximum capacity and charging options, and no cycle count.

Samsung, Xiaomi, HONOR, Nothing and the Pixel also showed when the battery was made and when it was first used. That helps when you buy a phone sold as new or refurbished.

Read these numbers with care

These are the readings of our own handsets on the day we checked, not figures for the models in general. Most of our phones were new, so they read 100% with few cycles. Menus can differ by region, model and software version; each guide lists what to try if a row is missing.
