Sharing your location lets family or friends see where you are on a map, for example on the way home at night or when you meet in a crowded place. You decide who sees it and for how long.
Step by step
Open the Find My app
Tap the Me tab and make sure Share My Location is switched on.
Tap People, then the plus button
Choose Share My Location.
Choose the person
Type a name or phone number, or pick from your contacts, and tap Send.
Choose how long
Share for one hour, until the end of the day, or indefinitely.
Or share from Messages
Open the conversation with the person. Tap the plus button next to the text field and choose Location, or tap the name at the top and tap Share My Location. Choose how long.
