How it works

Interest is added once a month to the balance, and each monthly saving is added at the end of the month. This is compound interest: you earn interest on earlier interest.

The result assumes the same rate every year. Real savings rates change and investments go up and down, and taxes and inflation are not included. Treat the number as an estimate, not a promise.
