EU Blue Card salary check (Germany 2026)
Check whether the salary in a German job offer reaches the EU Blue Card threshold for 2026.
How it works
For 2026 the general threshold is €50,700 gross per year. For shortage occupations, for people who finished their degree within the last three years and for IT specialists without a degree, it is €45,934.20.
The salary is only one condition. You also need a recognised degree (or the IT experience route), a job offer of at least six months that fits your qualification, and in many cases the approval of the Federal Employment Agency. The thresholds change every year.
