Crop a photo to a fixed shape: square, 4:3, 16:9, portrait or passport-photo proportions. The middle of the picture is kept.

    How it works

    The largest possible area in the chosen shape is cut from the photo. Use Keep to decide whether the top, middle or bottom is kept when the picture is too tall.

    The passport option only sets the 35 × 45 proportions. Official photos also have rules for head size, background and lighting, so check the requirements of the authority you are applying to.
