5 Chrome Extensions for Reddit Addicts

Reddit is without a doubt one of the best sites people visit either find answers to their questions or kill some time with its great content. If you visit Reddit a lot, then you’ve become a Reddit Addict and you need the following Reddit Chrome extensions.

Not that there’s anything wrong with being a Reddit addict, but there are some Chrome extensions you’re going to need to get the most out if it. There are quite a few Chrome extensions to choose from, but just look through them and see which ones you know you need.

1. Reddit Enhancement Suite

If you like Chrome extensions that offer an extensive amount of features, then I think you’re going to like the Reddit Enhancement Suite extension. It provides such a high number of modules that you’d have to write a novel to cover them all. But, don’t worry, I’ll just mention the most important ones.

The Best Chrome extensions for Reddit Users - Reddit Chrome extensions

One of the modules that I think you’ll love is being able to see pictures and video from the Reddit home page. You won’t have to open yet another tab; I’m sure you have open enough already. To turn this module on, go to Setting Console > Productivity > Inline Image Viewer.

With this extension, you can also expect NSFW (Not Suitable For Work) filtering. You might already be using the one Reddit has, but I think you could agree that it needs to be improved.

You can also tag other Reddit users and label them, so it’s easier to identify them later. This is useful since you’re able to track your friends throughout the comments. You don’t need to do anything to turn it on; it’s enabled by default.

2. Reddit Companion

Thanks to the Reddit Companion extension, you can share a site on Reddit right from the web page itself. By having Reddit on your browser you can easily save, vote, and see comments on Reddit. Thanks to the integrated submission bar you can easily submit all the links you want. If you want, you can even down or upvote web pages that have already been shared.

3. Reditr Web App

Another must-have Reddit extension is Reditr Web App. With this extension, you can view various subreddits at once through the column interface. You won’t have to leave the page you’re in to reply to any post or message, very convenient!

Losing what you typed on Reddit can be very annoying, but that’s something that won’t happen with this extension. Thanks to automatic draft saving, you’ll never lose what you typed again. You can also look through your comments thanks to the sorting options and review your Reddit browsing history.

4. Alien Tube

With the Alien Tube extension, you can see Reddit comments on YouTube videos that have been shared on Reddit. You can personalize the posts and comments, just got to the options page and you can set a limit on how posts or comments you can see.

If you want, you can also restrict certain subreddits on YouTube. To switch to Google+ comments is also an easy task, all you have to do is click on the G+ button at the top right.

5. Readr for Reddit

I’m sure you’ve visited AskReddit and seen those very long comments. Don’t you wish they were easier to read? They can be thanks to the Readr for Reddit extension. Below every comment you’re going to see a read button, and when you click on it, you’re going to get a much better layout for extended comments.

There’s even a night mode option, and the extension also gives you the possibility to switch fonts to Sans-Serif instead if Serif. If you don’t want the read button to be below the comments, you can place on top if you want.

There are some extensions that a Reddit addict needs to have on his/her Chrome browser. Hopefully, the ones that I have mentioned will become a must-have on your browser. You’ll see that after using these extensions, your Reddit experience will be even better than before. Did I miss a Reddit extension you recommend? Tell me which one it is in the comments.
