Add a Colorful Battery Indicator with Energy Bar

Wouldn’t it be better if instead of relying on a traditional percentage indicator, you could have a colorful battery indicator instead? Everyone knows green is good and red is bad. Besides, looking at colors instead of numbers is a lot nicer.

If you want to enjoy this feature, you will need to install an app called Energy Bar. The app is very easy to use, so if you’re not very tech-savvy, you’re going to like how this app works. The settings on the app are very self-explanatory, so you won’t have to bug your tech friend to help you set it up.

When you first launch the app, you’ll be taken to the app’ s settings where you can customize your colorful battery indicator. You can either choose between a normal or a status bar that will make the color line either take up your entire status bar or the normal think bar line. There will also be a slider that lets you set the thickness of the bar.

There’s also an option to choose where you want the colorful battery indicator to start. You can either choose to have it start towards the left, Center or Right. There’s also an option to automatically hide the bar’s visibility on fullscreen apps as well.

A feature that I think you’re going to like is that you can also add a charging animation. While your phone charges, the color line will behave according to the animation you choose. For example, you can choose between Linear, No Animation, Acceleration, Deceleration, Bounce, Anticipation, Accelerate Then Decelerate, Launch and Slow Down and Speed Breaker.

The last option down, Color Configuration, lets you customize the colors that will appear. You’ll see two options; Segments and Gradient. Here you can change the color of your battery bar to your liking.

You can either separate the bar into segments of various colors. When your battery gets lower, the color will change to the one you set it up to. If you go with the Gradient option, you can choose various colors. As you battery level falls, the colors will disappear.


That’s all you’re able to do is you decide to go with the free version, but if you’re willing to pay it will release additional features. It’s a nice way to add some color to your notification bar. Now, you won’t just have to deal with the black and white colors.
